Self Destruction Made easy...

An Indian urban youth with access to his needs, and with a bit of money and feeling of financial security inevitably falls into satan's most lethal plot. the last bit abt financial security is an optional condition...
Invariably he believes there is some one who was manufactured "customised to suit his requirements" and was hidden from his eyes for so long...and God deemed it appropriate to show the girl of his dreams at a juncture when he basically has nothing else to think about...;) Love is an Idle mind's greatest creation.... And a weapon of mass destruction which bull dozes many a budding career and truncates the stretch of imagination of many more....in a few cases it does manage to titillate and inspire though shortly...If god were to ever create a balance sheet of the good and the bad experienced by the head over heels lover....it would be ridiculously lopsided...and an idle mind and a young mind which otherwise unleashes great ideas also wastes hours thinking about bull crap...The key to the great indian institutions being great are that they load the student's with so much work that the mind wanders less and the careers hence meander less...
All the ABC College of arts and science devdasses bunk classes to make passes at lasses...Ofcourse the Five point someones from the IITs also are "Love Girl", she aint after me...so i want Grass" types...but the link among all these guys are they possess an idle mind which is an ideal environ for hell to break loose...
The movies glorifying the art of using the great young mind to generate trash and bull crap...are key players in the Catch them young..throw them down the drain phenomenon..
The great Indian college goer needs a better deal... India is lost in the trance that the internet and cable television has created...Our youth rarely have burning ambition and most achievers are products of the rat race and peer pressure phenomenon...The only burning ambition in the minds of most are to WOO an opposite sex human being....
Harmones rather than grey cells drive the youth.....That is god's mistake...But someone somewhere in power can do something to reduce the extent and frequency of the
havoc created...

India needs to grow as a country...for that the youth need to grow up and fast....

String words indeed from both the author and the reader. But I would have to say that I stick with Jawad and not J...

I most deftly think that it is HOOGE misconception.. whatever that u have written abt.. I have to quote a line from a move..pretty cliche'd one.. and I jus do not subscribe to the movie's contents.. Boys.. where Sidhart says.. " Kadhllaiyum jeyichu vaazhkaiyilayum jeyikka mudiyaadhaa".. though his means I doubt if they will prove fruitful.. but the point is... Loving a person ( in this case I mean kaadhal and not anbu).... is DEFTLY NOT DETRIMENTAL ... in fact as u said if u take the stats.. I am sure it will not be as lop-sided as u project it to be..

and considering the fact that these comments from you, I do choose to take it with a pinch of salt..;)

As u said, hormones do drive the youth ( I am noticing a rather alarming propensity among the bloggers here to spell it as harmones..noticed it thrice..) and it's a question of channelising it in the proper way and letting something else also run parallel to it...

Bottomline.... not convinced...

The main bone of contention is not whether u can win DESPITE being in love...but i just looked at it from an angle and went on to build a case for LOVE being an impediment to the innocent young guy to having a clear road to success.. But some speed breakers make you stronger and let you take the rugged terrain that life is with the smooth...so the quintessential optimists can look at life the greener way
But to just sum it up, Love is a dose of bitter sweet medicine and for some the medicine acts as an aggravator of pain and for some others its the panacea..
I was looking at it from one angle..but no way does it mean that i am blind to the other angle...
My intent is to examine a problem from one angle and spawn a debate where all view points come in...The mediator has to summarise all aspects at the end of the discussion...thats why a tilted stance in the first place....;)
May the bloggers feel free to slug it out....

Sshhh... ENNA pechu pesikkitrukka neeyee..

Okay, i have to admit that was superbly written, and had amazing 'literary maturity'.. but my admiration stops there. I kinda pardon u coz i know u for all u are..

"And a weapon of mass destruction which bull dozes many a budding career and truncates the stretch of imagination of many more...."
WTF??? If u r talkin about the really 'local' fellows and the poor-guy-meets-rich-girl movie stereotypes, u kinda make sense.. but that is hugely irrelevant to us...

"Ofcourse the Five point someones from the IITs also are "Love Girl", she aint after me...so i want Grass" types...but the link among all these guys are they possess an idle mind which is an ideal environ for hell to break loose..."

So dont the IITians achieve? Dont get wat i am supposed to understand out of this J...

"The only burning ambition in the minds of most are to WOO an opposite sex human being...."

Enna daaa solra??

Honestly, at first sight, i looked at it as one of your most idealistic posts yet... i went offline, and took in the post 3 times, before i realised that this was written in another of those infamous mood swings of yours, or as an aftermath or a tribute to those moodswings...

Am Pretty sure all the peeps who comment on our blogs are grown ups. No two ways about it.. None of us are your 'great indian college goer'.

Girish and Ranga...That was a post that aimed at seeing through the eyes of the average indian college goer...Not the mature stable career oriented guys...I very clearly mentioned..only the guys who get disillusioned in an iit go for grass..not the achievers...
Bottom line...THOSE WHO HAVE NO EMOTIONAL HOLDING IN LIFE ARE MORE PRONE TO FALL FOR IT...
Read five point someone for more on this...
but it was a shaky founded concept argued for by me...that much i have to admit...

Whatever.

Even I was wee bit surprised at the mention of Giri and me in the same breath.. or is that an reflection of how certain things have developed in "Nettai's" life or is that a harbinger of what is to come... Does somebody have access to some privy info that I don't?? What say, Jawad, I believe we have to pool in resources and crack this mystery???
